What is a Salesforce Consulting Partner?

A Salesforce Consulting Partner is a company or organization that has been officially recognized by Salesforce for its expertise in implementing, customizing, and optimizing Salesforce solutions for clients. These partners help businesses make the most of Salesforce products by providing consulting, integration, and support services tailored to specific needs. They undergo rigorous certification processes and have access to exclusive training and resources from Salesforce. Working with a Salesforce Consulting Partner ensures that businesses receive professional guidance and best practices throughout their Salesforce journey.

How does a Salesforce Consulting Partner typically collaborate with clients and internal teams during a project?

As a Salesforce Consulting Partner, you’ll work closely with client stakeholders to understand their business requirements and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions. This often involves leading discovery sessions, facilitating workshops, and regularly communicating project progress. Internally, you’ll collaborate with project managers, developers, and business analysts to ensure solutions are delivered on time and meet client expectations. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential, as you’ll frequently bridge the gap between technical teams and business users.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Salesforce Consulting Partner, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Salesforce Consulting Partner, you need deep expertise in Salesforce platforms, strong problem-solving abilities, and experience with CRM strategy, typically supported by Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Consultant or Architect. Familiarity with Salesforce tools like Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and integration systems is essential. Exceptional communication, project management, and client relationship skills help you stand out in this highly collaborative role. These competencies are crucial for delivering tailored Salesforce solutions that drive client success and business growth.

Job description

About Us - CloudMasonry
CloudMasonry is a full-service Salesforce consultancy with multi-cloud expertise, serving enterprise clients through onshore, collaborative teams. Senior consultants shape the solution, and we were the first Salesforce consultancy to build AI into a complete delivery methodology that keeps requirements, documentation, and reporting moving. Hence, our teams spend more time with clients.
With offices in the US and UK, 65+ consultants holding 350+ Salesforce certifications, 559+ completed projects, a 4.9 CSAT, and an 89% repeat-client rate, CloudMasonry works with enterprise clients on their most complex Salesforce programs.
About The Role
CloudMasonry helps clients get real value from Salesforce, and our Managed Services team is how that continues after go-live. We work as an extension of our clients' teams, supporting their Salesforce environments day-to-day and helping them keep improving over time.
As a Senior Consultant on this team, you will be the technical point of contact. You will set and meet objectives, maintain quality and control across the work, handle client and vendor conversations directly, and serve as the subject matter expert your clients rely on. You'll also partner closely with Business Analysts, who translate what users need into changes the team can build.
We are looking for someone detail-oriented and comfortable coordinating resources across concurrent workstreams, who works well as part of a team. Hands-on Salesforce experience is required. Salesforce certifications or demonstrated success on Trailhead are viewed very favorably.
This role is based in Indianapolis, with in-office collaboration Monday through Thursday and a work-from-home option on Fridays. Occasional travel may be required.

  • The ability to build and maintain a backlog of enhancements based on your client's business and their needs
  • Take charge and effectively steer a minor project to success, with minimal to no guidance or oversight
  • The ability to lead a project team to deliver quality outcomes requires strong delegation skills and effective communication
  • Consulting clients on solutions that meet their business needs and getting buy-in from various stakeholders to proceed with the implementation of those solutions
  • Develop & track backlog progression and share that information in a timely and meaningful manner to allow clients to make informed decisions
  • Anchoring client engagements by developing a deep understanding of the client's organization and building trust with the people involved
  • Facilitate Quarterly Planning Sessions with each client's stakeholders to review the progress of work to date, review next quarter's roadmap, and prioritize any new initiatives.
  • Experience in project management as a project manager.
  • Significant expertise in developing and implementing solutions using Salesforce
Ideal Candidate
  • 3+ Years of Salesforce Consulting Experience
  • Salesforce Admin Certification - Required
