Job description

Newton Crouch currently is seeking a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to join our North American sales team. Remotely based, this position is focused on selling Newton Crouch equipment, technology, products & services in the Carolinas Region, leveraging existing distribution channels & direct sales while developing distribution coverage in the region to scale the business. The RSM is the owner & driver of direct as well as distribution & key account sales in the region, which are not only critical to growth in-territory but also contribute to the success of the expanding company overall.

The main goal is to execute around business strategies and the sales pipeline process, driving healthy year-over-year revenue growth, market share penetration and profitability for Newton Crouch equipment. Identifying and pursuing sales opportunities while building & strengthening the sales channel in the region are key tenets to this position, rooted in solid relationships, and most importantly, being a trusted consultative advisor.

This person must demonstrate drive, high standards, strong attention to detail, along with excellent organizational, interpersonal skills, and teamwork.

Roles, Responsibilities, & Desired Qualities
  • A proven, high-integrity ag equipment/precision ag professional, respected by peers, customers, and competitors, who "owns" the territory as a knowledgeable, trusted Newton Crouch representative
  • Personable, competitive, and collaborative; seen as someone who gets things done for both the region and the company as a whole
  • Consistently hits sales targets by identifying and executing high-priority, margin-conscious actions while avoiding distractions
  • Builds strong relationships with customers, dealer principals, leadership, and sales/support/parts staff, serving as a trusted advisor on healthy business fundamentals (revenue, margin, financial health, balanced operations)
  • Identifies and qualifies dealer candidates, and reinforces the sales pipeline process across both dealer and direct sales
  • Teaches dealers to sell and support effectively rather than doing it for them, while personally engaging top-priority customers as needed
  • Maintains a regular ride-along cadence with customers and priority dealers
  • Communicates in regular cadence with sales leadership, and represents the company at key trade shows and events
  • Stays current on Newton Crouch products, precision ag technology, and competitive offerings - promoting relevant tech and channeling customer feedback into product improvement recommendations
  • A proven agricultural equipment and / or precision agriculture industry professional
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience

Education & Experience

  • 4-year degree is desirable, preferably in agriculture. Other degrees and valuable experience are considered on respective merits
  • Experience with distribution & channel management is highly sought after
  • Deep understanding of the agricultural industry, machinery, applications, farm practices, and the ability to learn new farm practices by region and crop type are key to the role
Interpersonal & Communication Skills
  • Calm, responsible communicator who works through challenges professionally, with strong oral/written and customer-facing skills, and an effective listener who responds clearly in person, email, and by phone
  • Comfortable presenting (e.g., PowerPoint); effective on frequent calls and video conferences
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and documentation
  • Sound judgment, sense of urgency, and consistent follow-through; makes and delivers on commitments, and takes personal responsibility for quality
  • Positive, coachable, and team-oriented; seeks and applies feedback, builds strong team relationships
  • Confident and trustworthy, with high personal standards of accountability and discipline

Travel & Office
  • Requires approximately 70% travel within the territory for dealer/customer visits, conventions, trade shows, events, training, and internal meetings; travel volume may fluctuate seasonally with business needs
  • Remote, home office-based role, reflecting the team's dispersed geographic structure
  • Living within an hour of a regional or international airport is preferred, though flexible given the rural nature of the industry
