Job Description:
As a Sales Support Engineer, you will support Nelson & Company's efforts to create value and a great experience for our customers by ensuring we develop the right solution within the constraints they face. You'll work alongside our Sales Engineers on quoting, equipment selection, submittals, and pricing; combining technical precision with the speed the business requires.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Working with Sales Engineers to develop quotes and make equipment selections from project plans and specifications
  • Assisting in the development of submittals and supporting project documentation
  • Pricing HVAC equipment and parts accurately and in a timely manner
  • Coordinating with vendors and internal team members to gather technical and pricing information
  • Managing multiple active quotes and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Supporting the sales team with technical documentation, product information, and customer correspondence

Experience and Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
  • Technical or engineering background, including demonstrated ability to understand and communicate concepts in a technical field
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage details and meet deadlines consistently
  • A desire to grow into a Sales Engineer role
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Construction or mechanical engineering work experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or a similar drafting/design program
  • Experience working in a complex or technical sales environment
