About the Director of Sales - Dropbox:
MarketStar is seeking a Director of Sales to support our Dropbox client based in Northern Utah. As a Director of Sales, you will use your strategic sales and client relations expertise, marketing knowledge and technical aptitude to lead large sales teams to success and develop strategies to meet our client's sales objectives. The Sales Director is responsible for ensuring SLA agreements and/or sales quotas are met/exceeded for all assigned team engagements while providing direction and recommendations, planning, development, and implementation of appropriate marketing and sales operations for multiple sales teams who represent well known SaaS and social media (ad sales) clients.
Location: Ogden - Hybrid
What will you do?
  • Drive MarketStar's culture by living and leading with our purpose and core values.

  • Manage P&L attainment against sales forecasts, including revenue and margin attainment, growth and risk, and overall financial health of the covered programs.

  • Participate in reviewing and negotiating client financial contracts with client and procurement.

  • Communicate client growth, risk, and strategic initiatives at all levels within the organization.

  • Contribute to MarketStar initiatives and deliver against business priorities.

  • Drive team accountability and share best practices across your organization and leadership counterparts.

  • Collaborate with cross functional business partners (sales operations, training, HR, etc.) to enhance operational program performance.

  • Coach a team of sales managers to drive overall performance, strategic initiatives, and accountability to MarketStar and our clients.

  • Lead hiring effectiveness in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team through data analysis of attrition trends and performance analytics.

  • Provide guidance and co-delivery of client business reviews internally and externally.

  • Utilize gap analysis to identify opportunities and implement plans to increase client satisfaction, KPI attainment, and overall growth.

  • Manage client relationships toward retention and growth.

What Will You Need to Succeed?
  • Director level experience with the ability to manage day-to-day to deliverables; 5+ years of experience preferred.

  • Bachelor's Degree, M.B.A., or certifications is a plus

  • Successful history of creating and managing projects from scope to completion.

  • Experience managing statements of work.

  • Track record of attaining and exceeding KPI performance expectations.

  • Aptitude for managing forecasting and budget management rolling up to a P&L.

  • Experience leading scaled teams of 100+ people.

  • Strong track record in developing talent and creating growth within a sales team.

  • Ability to create and present business reviews and strategic retention and growth plans to clients and senior leadership.

  • Engaging communicator and ability to present with confidence to senior leadership.

  • Track record of success contract negotiations at executive level.

  • Ability to develop, articulate and execute strategic plans which incorporate program level data and market level insights on sales processes and best practices.

  • Ability to own the client experience from market insights to engagement activities to business reviews.

  • Strong experience managing client expectations and priorities alongside MarketStar's initiatives and partner relationships.

  • Experience in managing multiple geographies around the world or distributed teams is preferred.
