Position Summary: The Operations Manager oversees daily production and warehouse operations in a plastics fabrication and distribution environment. This role is responsible for leading and supporting teams involved in thermoforming, CNC routing, quality inspection, warehouse organization, and order fulfillment while ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive workplace. The ideal candidate possesses hands-on knowledge of these processes, is capable of performing and training others on key operational tasks, drives adherence to quality and safety standards, and fosters a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Safety and Compliance
  • Oversee the production team; ensure that parts are made to print
  • Oversee the warehouse team; workflow and processes
  • Ensure that materials, receiving, and order fulfillment are assigned and completed
  • Control raw material and inventory accuracy
  • Schedule preventative maintenance for all equipment
  • Operate/oversee operation: CNC panel saw, CNC routers, Formers
  • Manage daily production schedule
  • Review/quote incoming projects
  • Reduce set-up times
  • Improve machine utilization
  • Perform cost analysis for the production team
  • Monitor dimensional and cosmetic quality
  • Manage Work In Progress levels
  • Resolve production delays
  • Meet on time delivery targets
  • Manage corrective actions
  • Ensure adherence to work instructions
  • Review customer complaint/rejections
  • Drive root-cause analysis
  • Performance management and coaching of operational staff
  • Drive lean and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Oversee preventive maintenance
  • Manage capital equipment projects
  • Coordinate with sales and customer service
  • Manage Fabrication Profit and Loss statement
