Position Summary
The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for leading manufacturing and warehouse operations across the Ogden and Centerville facilities. This role ensures production targets, operational KPIs, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved while supporting continuous improvement and operational growth.
The position partners closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities will include:
Production & Scheduling
  • Oversee production planning and scheduling to ensure orders are completed on time and within budget.
  • Translate high-level demand forecasts into actionable production plans.
  • Monitor machine utilization, labor allocation, and production output to maximize efficiency.

Warehouse & Supply Chain Operations
  • Manage warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Ensure proper coordination between warehouse and production teams to maintain continuous material flow.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to prevent raw material shortages and production delays.

Quality & Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards including GMP, ISO, and company quality systems.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to investigate and resolve non-conformances, deviations, and customer complaints.
  • Maintain operational processes and documentation to ensure facilities remain audit-ready.

Continuous Improvement
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Identify process improvements that increase productivity, equipment utilization, and yield.

Safety & Environmental Compliance
    • Promote a proactive safety culture throughout operations.
    • Partner with Environmental Health & Safety teams to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
    • Ensure all safety incidents, near misses, and accidents are documented and investigated.

Required Experience & Knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • 8-10 years of manufacturing operations experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing production or warehouse teams.
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (GMP, ISO, or similar) preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Demand
  • Ability to walk production and warehouse floors for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move items up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching while conducting facility walkthroughs and inspections.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment including computers and communication devices.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee daily manufacturing and warehouse operations across multiple facilities.
  • Ensure operational performance meets established KPIs including productivity, efficiency, quality, and safety metrics.
  • Develop operational strategies that align production capacity with sales forecasts and customer demand.
  • Lead department managers and supervisors to ensure consistent execution of operational plans.

Work Environment
  • Work is performed in both office and manufacturing/warehouse environments.
  • Exposure to production areas that may include moving machinery, forklifts, and varying noise levels.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, or other safety gear may be required in designated production areas.
  • Occasional travel between facilities may be required.
