Gilbane Building Company is looking for an exceptional and dynamic Sales Operations Manager (Strategic Marketing) to lead and inspire a divisional marketing and sales support team. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for managing and coaching a diverse group of marketing professionals, driving strategic marketing initiatives, and executing enterprise strategies with a key focus on driving innovation with our client proposals and presentations. You will collaborate cross-functionally with local sales and operations teams within the organization to deliver innovative deliverables that align with the company's growth objectives and add value to our clients. This position requires maintaining a visible and consistent presence in the offices within the specific division and involves approximately 25% travel.

Responsibilities
  • Overall accountability for divisional workload, ensuring sales and marketing deliverables are completed at the highest quality and on time.
  • Allocate divisional resources effectively to meet project deadlines and support team members in their roles.
  • Active participant and voice in divisional go no/go and strategy development sessions.
  • Strategic partner to Sr. BD Leader and divisional leadership to ensure high level of collaboration and partnership.
  • Ensure all external content and client deliverables align with Gilbane's brand standards and messaging guidelines.
  • Manage the development of high-quality sales deliverables in assigned division that are tailored to the specific client requirements, including qualifications, proposals, and presentations. Lead the development of strategic sales deliverables, as needed.
  • Provide strategic direction, content development, and creative/technical writing for strategic pursuits.
  • Participate in capture planning for key pursuits, including the development of themes, strategies, teaming, and execution/performance strategies.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify growth opportunities and inform division marketing strategies.
  • Overall accountability for adherence to digital asset and data management processes across the division to ensure data integrity and assets are properly organized and cataloged.
  • Overall accountability to ensure quality control and brand adherence in sales and marketing content across the division.
  • Recruit, hire, and effectively manage direct reports, including workload, coaching for career development, and adherence to HR policies and protocols.
  • Responsible for ensuring the local training, appropriate usage, maintenance, and data integrity of department tools and applications.
  • Foster a positive team environment across assigned division and provide opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Proactively address staffing and workload challenges across the division to ensure a positive team environment.
  • Effective leadership of cross-functional teams across assigned division to deliver high-quality external content and client deliverables, ensuring clear communication, mutual support, and a cohesive approach to problem-solving.
  • Effectively manage multiple deliverables concurrently and has a strong ability to multi-task.
  • Further expand industry and community organization involvement through board and/or committee leadership.
  • Stay abreast of new trends and tools and share insights and analytics with the broader team.
  • Develop and implement process improvements.
  • Responsible for overseeing financial activities and ensuring compliance with budget expectations.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 8-10 years relevant experience in the marketing and/or AEC industry.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.
For Milwaukee and Chicago, this ranges from $108,000.00-$155,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
