Nwestco is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and ambitious Sales Director to lead our sales
team. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is responsible for developing
and executing strategic sales plans, fostering strong internal and client relationships, and
driving revenue growth to meet organizational targets.

This is a field-based role supported remotely, requiring regular travel across Nwestco’s branch network, with a preference for candidates located in Pacific or Mountain time zones.

The pay range is $165K - $175K, plus a 15% commission, includes benefits, PTO and 401k.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans aimed at achieving or exceeding sales targets, expanding market share, and driving revenue growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to inspire high performance and ensure alignment with company objectives also ensuring compliance and productive use of our CRM.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and internal and external stakeholders by understanding their business needs and delivering value.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify emerging markets and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Coordinate with other departments such as operations, marketing, and finance to ensure consistent messaging, product positioning, and sales target alignment.
  • Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, reports, and analyses to senior management, highlighting progress and areas for improvement.
  • Recruit, train, and retain sales talent, creating development programs that enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and generate new business opportunities.
  • Manage budgets to optimize efficiency and profitability, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a sales manager or sales director with a strong track record of leading a sales team, meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • 5+ years in sales leadership roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills for market evaluation and sales forecasting.
  • Experience in both Business Development and Account Management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels, including C-suite executives.
  • Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
  • Ability to identify customer needs and craft client-focused, differentiated solutions.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly, including multi-day trips, for sales team development, branch visits, client meetings, industry events, and relationship-building with other company leaders.
Essential Job Functions
  • Regular travel across Nwestco’s branch network, including multi-day trips, to work directly with branch managers, sales staff, customers, and vendors in person expected to average 35% of working time.
  • Recurring, in-person presence at branch locations and customer sites is a core and ongoing responsibility of this role, not an occasional or as-needed activity.
  • Physical presence at industry events, trade shows, and vendor meetings as needed to represent Nwestco and generate new business.
Experience and Education
  • Extensive experience in sales roles progressing from sales representative or account manager to leadership positions.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing sales strategies that result in revenue growth.
  • Experience managing teams across multiple regions or territories is highly valued.
  • Experience leveraging a CRM solution, for pipeline management, sales productivity metrics, developing sales processes and sales management and forecasting tools, a plus.
  • Experience selling Industrial Services, Projects and Equipment, a plus.
  • Certifications in sales management (such as Certified Sales Professional or Strategic Account Management) can be advantageous.

Ability to pass pre-employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.

Ability to pass pre-employment drug-screening and background check. This position is classified as safety-sensitive, it requires the applicant to pass a comprehensive drug test, including screening for marijuana, as a condition of employment.

Driving Requirement

This position requires regular operation of a Company vehicle. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, possess a current, valid and unrestricted driver’s license, and have no DUI convictions or driver’s license suspensions or revocations within the past five (5) years. Employment is contingent upon verification of an acceptable motor vehicle record and meeting the Company’s automobile insurance eligibility requirements.
