Role: Director - Pre Sales CPG

Job Description
The Director CPG Presales, Solutions & Growth Office is a senior leadership role responsible for driving large deal wins, proactive growth, and differentiated solutioning across global Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) clients.
This role sits at the intersection of sales, consulting, technology, and delivery, owning the end to end solutioning and win strategy for large, complex, multi tower deals, while also shaping the CPG Growth Office agendaincluding new logo acquisition, account mining, AI led differentiation, and partner led GTM.
The role demands deep CPG domain understanding, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to orchestrate cross functional teams to consistently win high value, transformational deals.
Key Responsibilities
Large Deals & Presales Leadership
• Own solution strategy, win themes, and commercial constructs for large, multi tower CPG pursuits (new logos and strategic renewals).
• Act as Solution Leader / Deal Coach for complex RFPs, RFIs, proactive proposals, and executive orals.
• Drive deal qualification rigor, bid governance, and outside in thinking to improve win rates.
• Lead solution workshops with CXOs and senior client stakeholders, positioning TCS as a transformation partner, not a vendor.
CPG Growth Office Proactive Growth & New Logos
• Shape and execute the CPG Growth Office operating model covering:
oNew logo acquisition
oProactive GTM in existing accounts
oDomain led selling and consulting first motions
• Build and scale proactive deal pipelines, including POV based selling, diagnostics, value discovery, and PoCs.
• Partner with sales, consulting, delivery, and marketing teams to drive grassroots selling and deeper customer connects.
3. Differentiated Solutioning & Innovation
• Drive integrated, end to end solutions spanning:
oBusiness Consulting & Domain Advisory
oData, AI & GenAI
oSAP & Enterprise Applications
oCloud, Infrastructure & Digital Workplace
oAutomation, AIOps, and Managed Services
• Infuse AI led differentiation into presales operations, solution constructs, commercials, and delivery models.
• Build reusable CPG deal playbooks, accelerators, demos, and solution assets.
Commercial Strategy & Pricing Excellence
• Define innovative pricing and commercial models, including:
oOutcome based pricing
oRisk reward and gain share models
oConsumption based and platform led constructs
• Partner closely with finance, pricing, legal, and risk teams to balance competitiveness with margin discipline.
• Strengthen deal economics through value articulation and business case led selling.
Ecosystem & Partner Led GTM
• Drive joint GTM motions with strategic partners (SAP, ServiceNow, hyperscalers, AI platforms).
• Shape joint offerings, solution blueprints, and co innovation plays for CPG clients.
• Strengthen TCS perception with analysts, partners, and advisors as a CPG transformation leader.

Salary Range: $183,100 - $240,400 a year
