We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Merchandiser to join our team at AMCON Distributing Company. As a Sales Merchandiser, you will be responsible for maximizing sales and profitability by effectively managing product placement, promotion, and availability within assigned stores. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, a keen eye for visual merchandising, and a strong understanding of consumer buying behavior.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current customers, to ensure effective product placement and promotion.
  • Execute merchandising strategies to optimize product visibility and increase sales within assigned stores.
  • Regularly visit assigned stores to ensure proper product placement, accurate pricing, and sufficient stock levels.
  • Collaborate with Sales Consultants to implement promotional activities, including displays, signage, and special offers.
  • Collect and analyze sales data to identify sales trends, evaluate promotional effectiveness, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for increased sales and improved merchandising strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment of merchandising activities with overall business objectives.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements related to merchandising and retail sales.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in business or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Merchandiser or similar role in the convenience or retail industry.
  • Solid understanding of retail operations, including inventory management, pricing strategies, and product placement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to travel within assigned market and work occasional evenings, as required.
  • Proficient in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and merchandising tools.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned market as required.
