WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are now looking for a Sales Manager to join our team in the US. Reporting to the Sales Director North America, this role is responsible for driving profitable growth by building, developing and sustaining strong customer partnerships.


The Sales Manager actively engages customers through regular inperson visits, virtual meetings and other communication channels, delivering a hightouch, solutionsoriented customer experience. The role requires deep understanding of the industry and Stora Enso's containerboard portfolio, strong prioritization and timemanagement skills, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor by proactively resolving issues and creating longterm value for customers.

This is a U.S.-based hybrid position combining remote work with on-site customer visits, with a preference for candidates located on the East Coast (Northeast or Southeast).

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AS A SALES MANAGER:

  • Drive profitable growth of the Containerboard business by actively developing new customer opportunities and expanding share with existing accounts.
  • Identify, pursue and convert new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, customer meetings and valuebased sales discussions.
  • Own commercial performance in the local market, including pricing, profitability and working capital.
  • Develop and execute marketspecific sales and segment plans aligned with the Business Area strategy.
  • Lead customer negotiations and secure commercial agreements, ensuring required approvals from Business Area Management.
  • Actively engage customers as a trusted commercial partner, identifying needs, solving issues and driving longterm value creation.
  • Execute local marketing and growth initiatives to strengthen market presence and pipeline.
  • Forecast, budget and track sales performance, reporting key KPIs related to sales, profitability and working capital.
  • Collaborate with Key Account Management and internal stakeholders to capture growth opportunities and support strategic customers.
  • Maintain accurate customer, pricing and contract data in CRM and order management systems, ensuring commercial discipline.

AUTHORITIES - The position holder has the authority regarding:

  • Identify, pursue and develop sales opportunities with both new and existing customers in line with market and segment strategy.
  • Lead commercial discussions and negotiate customer agreements in accordance with Business Area guidelines, ensuring required approvals from Business Area Management.
  • Drive pricing and commercial recommendations within the agreed mandate.
  • Final approval and conclusion of customer agreements remain with the Business Area / selling unit.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven sales mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and converting new business opportunities.
  • Experience in sales of paperboard or converted packaging products is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence at customer decisionmaking levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced, targetdriven environment.
  • Selfdriven, resultsoriented and collaborative team player.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University or related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong digital and system capabilities; ability to work effectively in CRM, ERP and sales management systems in a multinational environment.
