Job description

Built on service. Powered by people.
Impact exists because a small group of industry leaders believed companies in our space were doing it wrong. Many prioritized margins while the people doing the work and the clients relying on it became an afterthought. Impact was built differently: invest in great people, trust them to do great work, and deliver the kind of service clients remember. That approach helped us grow from a small office technology company into a national managed services provider, while remaining privately owned and people-first.
What makes Impact special is that growth has never come at the expense of the values that got us here. We continue to reinvest in our people, our capabilities, and the opportunities ahead so employees can grow alongside the business. We've built something special, but we're far from finished. The people who join Impact now will help define what comes next.
Our North Star: Client Centricity
Job Overview
We are seeking a high-impact, strategic Sales Manager to lead our outside B2B sales organization across the dynamic and rapidly evolving domains of IT, cybersecurity, marketing, and digital transformation. This is a pivotal leadership role for a proven sales executive who thrives in complex, consultative selling environments and is passionate about building high-performing teams that drive meaningful business outcomes.
The ideal candidate brings a disciplined, enterprise-level approach to account strategy and has a track record of navigating multifaceted organizations across IT infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital operations. This leader will have experience engaging diverse executive personas across the C-suite and is adept at articulating value in multi-stakeholder, high-stakes sales cycles.
Responsibilities
  • Sales Leadership: Inspire, coach, and lead a team of outside B2B business consultants, including tenured Account Executives and Sales Development Representatives, to consistently exceed revenue targets. Provide strategic oversight and instill a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Net New Business Development: Leverage the Challenger sales methodology to penetrate new markets and expand our footprint within IT, cybersecurity, marketing, and digital transformation. Equip your team to deliver compelling, insight-driven narratives to C-level executives, positioning Impact as a long-term strategic partner. Demonstrated success in selling multi-million-dollar engagements is essential.
  • Strategic Planning: Partner with senior leadership to craft and execute forward-looking sales strategies that anticipate market shifts and customer needs. Use data-driven insights to refine go-to-market approaches and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Team Development: Champion a high-performance culture through mentorship, structured development programs, and succession planning. Identify and cultivate emerging leaders within the team to ensure long-term organizational strength.
  • Thought Leadership: Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on emerging trends in IT, cybersecurity, AI, and digital transformation. Contribute to internal strategy and external market positioning through thought leadership and industry engagement.
  • Performance Management: Define and manage clear KPIs and performance benchmarks. Conduct regular reviews and provide actionable feedback to drive individual and team success.
  • Sales Technology Stack: Ensure the team is maximizing our advanced sales enablement tools, including Microsoft Dynamics, SalesLoft, and 6sense, to build intelligent, targeted outreach strategies and maintain a robust pipeline.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work in close partnership with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align on strategic initiatives and deliver a seamless client experience. Foster a collaborative environment that drives innovation and shared success.
Qualifications & Experience
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive sales leadership experience in the technology or consulting sectors, with a strong record of driving net new revenue and scaling teams
  • Deep domain expertise in IT, cybersecurity, AI, and digital transformation, with a nuanced understanding of market dynamics and enterprise buyer behavior
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and inspire high-performing teams
  • Strategic mindset with a bias for execution in fast-paced, competitive environments
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities with both internal stakeholders and external executive clients
  • Relentless focus on outcomes, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
If you are a visionary sales leader with a passion for technology and a proven ability to drive growth through strategic execution, we invite you to explore this opportunity. Join us in shaping the future of IT, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and marketing.
What Drives Impact
Our purpose is people. We empower them to innovate, grow, and succeed. That's how we change the world - one person, one company, one community at a time.
Behaviors define what our values look like in action. Leaders are expected to model them; teams are expected to live them:
  • Innovation: We embrace change because innovation lives outside the comfort zone.
  • Passion: We are driven by purpose, fueled by passion, and obsessed with making an impact.
  • Honesty: We are fiercely transparent and consistently honest.
  • Fun: We fuel work with fun, knowing life's too short for boring.
  • Low Ego: We champion ideas over titles, because brilliance knows no rank.
  • One Team: We win as a team, we lose as a team, we are one team.
Compensation

The typical base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $175,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skillset, experience and training, licensures and/or certifications, and other organizational needs.

Full compensation details can be discussed with an Impact Talent Acquisition team member at the start of the interview process.
