Service Sales Engineer – Industrial Power Systems
Location: Houston, TX (Travel Throughout North America)
We are partnering with a global leader in industrial power solutions to identify a Service Sales Engineer who will play a key role in expanding service business across North America. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded sales professional who enjoys working directly with customers, solving complex technical challenges, and driving long-term service growth.
About the Opportunity
This position serves as the primary technical and commercial liaison between customers, service teams, and engineering resources to deliver exceptional support for critical power systems. The successful candidate will help develop service opportunities, prepare maintenance and repair proposals, manage spare parts solutions, and build lasting customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for installed industrial power equipment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between customers, field service teams, and engineering support.
- Prepare quotations for maintenance agreements, repairs, spare parts, and field service projects.
- Coordinate replacement parts and support for both current and legacy equipment.
- Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and increase customer retention.
- Develop long-term service solutions that add value throughout the equipment lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to ensure timely customer support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in Service Engineering, Technical Support, Service Sales, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
- Experience with industrial UPS systems, critical power equipment, electrical systems, or other industrial electrical products.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams.
Travel
- Travel throughout North America as needed to support customers and business initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $120,000–$140,000
- Commission: Performance-based incentive plan
- Full-time, permanent position
