Job description

THE COMPANY

Our client is a fast-growing, founder-led real estate organization with a strong regional presence throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. The company has built an extensive network of real estate professionals, a centralized operating platform, and a differentiated lead-generation model that supports agents across multiple markets.

The business is entering an exciting new phase of growth. With an established agent base, a proven lead platform, and expanding opportunities in new territories, the company is seeking a senior operations leader who can bring greater structure, accountability, and execution to the organization while preserving the entrepreneurial culture that has fueled its success.

This is an opportunity to join the company at a meaningful inflection point. Ownership will continue leading the vision, relationships, training, and strategic growth initiatives, while this leader will serve as the day-to-day operational partner responsible for turning that vision into consistent execution.

THE JOB

The Senior Vice President of Operations will serve as a key leadership partner to ownership and will be responsible for leading the company's operational cadence, overseeing department leaders, strengthening accountability, and supporting continued growth.

This individual will oversee the people, processes, and KPIs that drive the business forward. Working closely with managing brokers, operations, lead management, administrative support, and other internal teams, they will ensure priorities remain clear, expectations are met, and operational issues are addressed before they hinder growth.

The ideal candidate is a strong operator who knows how to lead through influence, build accountability, manage autonomous personalities, and bring structure to an entrepreneurial environment. This is neither a purely corporate role nor a traditional sales position. It requires someone who is hands-on, visible in the office, engaged with the team, and willing to solve practical business challenges every day.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the organization's day-to-day operating cadence
  • Manage department leaders across brokerage operations, compliance, growth, recruiting, lead management, and administration
  • Translate ownership's vision into clear priorities, action plans, KPIs, and consistent execution
  • Support agent recruiting, retention, onboarding, and productivity initiatives
  • Improve consistency around SOPs, team expectations, performance reviews, and accountability
  • Partner with ownership on expansion into new territories and markets
  • Coordinate operational execution as new teams, offices, or brokerage groups join the company
  • Evaluate the current organizational structure and identify opportunities to strengthen leadership effectiveness
  • Monitor key business metrics related to recruiting, retention, production, lead-program performance, transaction quality, partner programs, and profitability
  • Build strong relationships with internal staff, agents, team leaders, and business partners
  • Support vendor, partner, and internal relationship management as needed
  • Help improve profitability by reviewing systems, processes, operating expenses, and overall efficiency
  • Maintain a consistent leadership presence in the office
  • Foster a culture of accountability while preserving the company's relationship-driven environment

THE QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidates will bring many of the following:

  • Senior operations leadership experience within real estate, mortgage, title, escrow, property management, construction, development, proptech, franchise operations, or another real estate-adjacent industry
  • Experience leading managers, department heads, sales leaders, branch leaders, producers, brokers, agents, or other autonomous professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to build accountability around KPIs, operating rhythms, SOPs, and performance expectations
  • Experience supporting recruiting, retention, onboarding, productivity, or field-sales growth initiatives
  • Ability to thrive in a founder-led, entrepreneurial organization
  • Strong judgment and emotional intelligence when navigating conflict, diverse personalities, and organizational change
  • Experience serving as an integrator for visionary founders or senior executives
  • Ability to lead from the office while creating day-to-day operational stability
  • Strong business acumen, including experience managing profitability, vendor relationships, operational efficiency, and performance metrics
  • Experience supporting growth across multiple markets, offices, branches, or territories
  • Ability to coordinate complex projects, business integrations, market launches, or expansion initiatives
  • A practical, hands-on leadership style with the ability to move seamlessly between strategy and execution
  • Clear, effective communication with staff, agents, business partners, and ownership
  • Confidence making recommendations, holding team members accountable, and recognizing when organizational changes are needed
  • Real estate industry experience is strongly preferred, although exceptional candidates from mortgage, title, escrow, property management, construction, development, or other related industries will also be considered

THE BENEFITS

  • Base salary of $125,000
  • Performance-based bonus structure tied to company and operational goals
  • Health insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Three weeks of PTO, including combined vacation and sick time
