Job description

This is a hybrid position and must be located within 100 miles of Rochester MN campus for on-site expectations.

The Director, Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Analytics provides strategic leadership for enterprise forecasting, planning analytics, and KPI reporting capabilities that support operational and business decision-making across the organization. This role leads forecasting analytics, statistical model performance, dashboard reporting, and planning data governance to improve forecasting accuracy, reporting consistency, and overall business performance. 

The Director partners closely with cross-functional leaders across operations, finance, supply planning, demand planning, sales, marketing, and IT to deliver actionable insights and scalable analytics solutions that support Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) processes.

Key responsibilities include leading forecasting and analytical model development, identifying performance improvement opportunities, overseeing enterprise reporting standards, and "source of truth" data management, and driving continuous improvement in planning systems, dashboards, and analytics capabilities. The role also provides leadership for analytical teams focused on business intelligence, forecasting, data science, and planning analytics. 

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in forecasting, statistical modeling, business intelligence, and enterprise analytics platforms, along with demonstrated success leading high-performing teams and translating complex analytical insights into business recommendations for executive leadership.

  • Requires a Master's degree in health care administration, business administration, IT or health related field and seven years of related experience
  • OR Bachelor's degree in relevant field with nine years of related experience.

  • Proven ability to effectively manage a budget and personnel, including ability to effectively build, lead, and motivate teams of individuals with diverse skills and abilities. 
  • Must have the ability to build successful, collaborative relationships with highest levels of physician and administrative leadership, and to understand and strategically apply analytics and analysis to complex needs of Mayo practice and evolving business needs.
  •  Must possess strong leadership, analytical, oral and written communication, and presentation skills, and superior interpersonal skills to facilitate effective relationships both within and outside of Mayo Clinic; solid organizational skills; track record in building positive, cross-functional relationships with both physicians and administrators. 
  • Must possess political savvy, ability to function effectively in the face of ambiguity and excellent relationship-building skills. 
  • Thorough understanding of analytics, the healthcare industry and business analysis, as well as high level computer proficiency and knowledge of technology trends is required. 
  • Must demonstrate ability to work effectively in consensus-style operation that expects and promotes teamwork. 
  • Demonstrated ability to appropriately handle sensitive/proprietary information. 
  • Availability for some travel is required.
