Position Overview:
As a Sales Development Specialist, you will contribute to sales growth by partnering withTerritory Managers, Account Managers, RVP & DVP (Sales Partners) to advance their salesstrategies by proactively identifying with key players within targeted accounts, providinginformation to act strategically and enabling our Sales Partners to increase customer-facing time.This person should display a positive attitude and project a willingness to help, whileconsistently providing accurate information to our customers and Sales Teams.


As you develop in your role as a Sales Development Specialist you will be expected to contributeto the success of Shaw Industries by possessing a thorough understanding of product knowledge,go-to market strategies, and customer service for your assigned geographic territory. You will beexpected to generate business intelligence for accounts, contacts, and projects to help grow yourterritory's sales. You will be the direct point of contact for your aligned sales team and act as aliaison to all of Shaw's Supply Chain partners.

Responsibilities:

Sales Support Responsibilities:

  • Assist aligned Sales Partners in maintaining our CRM, SFDC and other systems in thefollowing areas: Projects/Opportunities, Key Customer Contacts and Sample Requests asdirected by the Sales Team.

  • Serve as back-up to Territory/Account Managers when on leave, vacation, or on an "asneeded" basis.

  • Maintaining quality excellence by managing freight quotes, escalated order requests,product spec inquiries, and leveraging inventory opportunities.

  • Claims entry and management

  • Must have a deep knowledge of residential product offerings and perform order entry,modifications and stock checks for all Residential products and samples.

  • Replacement Product Recommendation including crossovers, dropped/retired products.

  • Serve as a direct contact for High-Level Escalation needs directed from the ResidentialSales Team and offer resolution in an hour or less. These could be presented through avariety of communication channels including Email to Case, Phone, SMS/Text, or Chat.

  • If inventory options are not available, find alternative solutions and offer them to ourSales teams. Pursue to find solutions through branded sites like Smart Market.

  • Proactively manage pending orders to achieve on-time resolution targets and reduce ordercycle delays, contributing to improved customer satisfaction.

  • Scrutinize the active order environment to identify problematic situations and proactivelyfacilitate resolution. i.e. Order Position, Crossover, Date Change reporting in Tableau.

  • Assist and manage Custom Samples Orders process for Sales Team.

  • Single point of contact for aligned Sales team for all Technical and Product Informationfor all Residential product types. Including in-field support.

  • Lead and optimize New Product Rollouts in regard to Sample Display distribution anddelivery for regional Sales team and remain a dedicated resource for order and shippingmanagement.

  • Act as a team leader providing insight, training and product awareness to the alignedCustomer Care Support roles in geography; Solutionist, AAS.

Business Intelligence Responsibilities:

  • Understand the Shaw Sales Process and apply this expertise to help Sales Partners engagecustomers and generate new business opportunities.

  • Generate actionable business intelligence that contributes to pipeline growth, opportunityconversion, and territory revenue targets.

  • Leverage and mold resources and business tools for creating business opportunities.Innovating techniques for different sources such as: LinkedIn and Salesforce.com.

  • Ask questions to assess the opportunity and document the customer insight as afoundation for the sales team to attend appointments and advance the sale.

  • Deliver customer research to identify potential Strategic or Aligned Accounts.


Inside Sales Responsibilities:

  • Account growth through the development of good relationships with the customer basedon knowledge, service, trust, and integrity.

  • Collaborate with Sales to ensure strategic execution, understand national and localpromotions, and stay up to date on market trends.

  • Must have a deep knowledge of residential product offerings and current brandacknowledgement.

  • Must continually develop a keen awareness of what is happening within their designatedgeographic area.

  • Daily sales calls to existing customers, as directed by Sales, with special emphasis on thesale of rolls and quantities of carpet, samples, displays, cushion, adhesive, and relatedfloor products.

  • Prepare and communicate periodic sales reports outlining actual sales information andgoals, competitive market conditions and product needs.

  • Analyze sales statistics by reviewing computer reports specific to his/her territory to aidin formulating goals and to assist dealers in promoting sales.

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must have the ability to learn Salesforce and other Shaw systems.

  • Ability to work on Pacific Standard Time zone hours

  • Must be self-motivated and possess good organizational skills.

  • Requires good communication and time management skills.

  • Must conduct oneself professionally both in the workplace and the community.

  • Accept assignments that require additional training.

  • Must be a team player.

  • Demonstrate Shaw's Core Values: Honesty, Integrity, and Passion.

  • Ability to travel less than 10%.

Preferred:

  • 2+ years sales experience or B.S. in Marketing or related field

  • Experience working in Salesforce

  • Living in the assigned territory - Arizona, New Mexico, or Southern California
