Business Development Manager – Outside Sales


Charlotte, NC | Local Territory | Base Salary + Uncapped Commission


Are you a driven B2B sales professional who enjoys building relationships, opening new doors, and winning new business?


Elwood Staffing is looking for a Business Development Manager to grow our presence in the Charlotte market. If you're a motivated hunter who thrives on prospecting, developing new accounts, and closing business, this is an opportunity to build a rewarding sales career with an industry leader.


You would be selling our staffing services to prospective customers in the light industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics industry.


What You'll Do

  • Prospect and develop new B2B business opportunities.
  • Build relationships with decision-makers and identify workforce solutions.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and proposals.
  • Negotiate, close, and onboard new accounts.
  • Partner with recruiting and operations teams to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Travel locally throughout your territory (60–70% field-based). This is not a remote position. Auto allowance provided.


What We're Looking For

  • Proven outside sales or business development experience preferred.
  • A passion for prospecting and building new business.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with a competitive, goal-oriented mindset.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout the local territory.
