Job description

Purpose of this Position: The Sales Services Analyst must have a detailed understanding of both the Software and the trucking industry. This person must be able to review business requirements and offer software or process related solutions to meet those needs. The primary duty for this position is to support the core Sales group in their sales efforts for new business prospects and upgrade customers. These day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales Support - Customer and Prospect Discovery
The Sales Service Analyst is an important part of the team that helps understand our customer requirements and how our software and services can be used to that end.
  • Participate in the Customer/Prospect Discovery process as needed to support the best understanding of the customer's software and service's needs. This may include the creation and distribution of the discovery documents and conducting the interviews with the prospect and their employees and compiling the results into reports.

Product Demonstrations
The Sales Service Analyst must have the software configured and ready to Demo for the potential or current client with consideration of all business requirements.
  • Provide detailed demonstrations of products online or in person as needed onsite at the customer, conferences, conventions, and other engagements as determined by the company.
  • Coordinate the timing of demonstrations and recommendations for the meeting agenda with the Sales Teams.
  • Coordinate any internal resources needed to assist and support the product demonstrations requested.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities
  • Attend and participate in the Sales Meetings as required by the department manager.
  • Train on the McLeod Product line until proficient.
  • Participate in Security and other mandated training as required.
  • Plan, prepare and execute product demonstrations on McLeod Products as requested using available resources.
  • Availability as a supporting product resource to core Sales Team.
  • Assist in acclimating and training new salespeople hired as New Business, Strategic Sales Executives and Business Development Representatives.
  • Availability as a supporting product resource to core services personnel.
  • Maintain and secure company equipment and software issued to members of the sales department.
  • Create personal travel arrangements, complete weekly expense reports and adhere to the company expense policy.
  • Travel a minimum of 50% of each month
  • Participate in special projects as requested.

Education/Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in software sales, software training, software engineering, or in the transportation industry, required.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, sales, marketing, or a related field, preferred.
  • Ability to travel in the US and Canada minimum 50% of the time.
