What are Vision Sales?

Vision Sales refers to the profession of selling vision-related products and services, such as eyeglasses, contact lenses, and optical equipment, often within optical stores or eye care clinics. What is the difference between Vision Sales vs Optical Sales Associate?

AspectVision Sales
CertificationsOften requires knowledge of optical products, sales certifications, and sometimes optician training
Work EnvironmentRetail optical stores, eyewear boutiques, or optical departments in healthcare settings
Employer & IndustryOptical retail chains, independent eyewear stores, and healthcare providers
Job FocusSelling eyewear, understanding vision needs, and providing customer service related to vision correction

Vision Sales roles may encompass broader responsibilities, including marketing and product promotion within the optical industry. While both roles involve customer interaction in retail settings, Vision Sales positions tend to have a more sales-driven approach with a focus on vision-related products.
