Arrowhead Talent Solutions is assisting a manufacturing company fill a Sales Application Engineer position located in Hiram, OH.
The Sales Application Engineer serves as the technical bridge between customers and internal engineering and operations teams. This role combines technical expertise, problem-solving, and customer-facing communication to support growth, develop engineered solutions, and ensure successful product integration in customer applications.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Technical Support & Solution Development
  • Understand customer requirements, interpret technical specifications, and recommend appropriate products, configurations, or custom solutions
  • Sales Collaboration
  • Partner with the sales team to develop proposals, quotations, and technical presentations that clearly articulate value and feasibility
  • Customer Engagement
  • Participate in customer meetings, site visits, and product demonstrations to gather application details and provide technical guidance
  • Engineering Liaison
  • Translate customer needs into actionable engineering requirements; collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure solutions are viable and cost-effective
  • Project Coordination
  • Support the lifecycle of customer projects from concept through production launch, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and expectations are met
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare technical documentation, application notes, cost estimates, and project status updates

Qualifications & Education Requirements
To perform this job successfully an individual must be capable of performing each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or related field), a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or technical sales environment
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing processes
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience with 3D and 2D CAD software like SolidWorks, and simulation tools like Ansys.
• Comfortable working directly with customers and cross-functional teams
• Willingness to trave as needed (typically 10-30%)

Works in a combination of a standard office, laboratory, and general normal manufacturing conditions. Uses general office equipment such as computers, telephones and other business task machines.
