Job description

As a Sr. Sales Lead - EZ Sheath, you will play a critical role in driving builder adoption and revenue growth across the Upper Midwest region. In this market-facing role, you will execute Owens Corning's EZ Sheath commercial strategy by creating pull-through demand with residential builders and driving product adoption through distribution partners.
You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and expanding market presence by leveraging your expertise in residential construction, building materials, and channel dynamics. Success in this role requires strong commercial acumen, relationship-building skills, and the ability to translate strategy into measurable market results.
POSITION LOCATION: Minneapolis, MN with travel up to 2-3 overnights per week
What You Will Be Doing:
  • Drive builder adoption and revenue growth for EZ Sheath by executing regional sales and market development strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with residential builders, contractors, distributors, dealers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Create pull-through demand by educating customers on product benefits, applications, and value propositions.
  • Execute the EZ Sheath go-to-market strategy across the region, identifying opportunities to accelerate growth and market penetration.
  • Work through two-step distribution, local lumber dealers, and specialty distribution partners to ensure product availability and customer support.
  • Leverage knowledge of residential construction methods and building science to effectively engage customers and address field-level challenges.
  • Support builder pilot programs and convert trial opportunities into long-term adoption and repeat business.
  • Position EZ Sheath against competitive alternatives by communicating differentiated value and performance advantages.
  • Deliver regional sales targets, growth objectives, and profitability goals through disciplined account management and business development activities.
  • Partner with Marketing, Technical Services, Building Science, and Distribution teams to align customer solutions and drive adoption.
  • Serve as a trusted resource to distribution and channel partners, providing product expertise, training, and sales support.
  • Utilize CRM tools, sales analytics, and market data to identify opportunities, manage pipelines, and guide decision-making.
  • Continuously evaluate market conditions, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities and improve sales effectiveness.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in customer-facing sales, business development, or commercial roles.
  • Demonstrated experience selling to residential builders and creating pull-through demand.
  • Experience working within building materials channels, including distributors, dealers, contractors, and residential construction markets.
  • Working knowledge of residential construction methods, applications, and building practices.
  • Strong business development skills with a demonstrated ability to generate new opportunities and grow market share.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Effective presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems, sales tools, and market insights to manage customer pipelines and drive results.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple opportunities and execute effectively.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the region, including up to 2-3 overnight trips per week.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with residential insulated sheathing, wall assemblies, or related building envelope products.
  • Knowledge of building science principles, energy codes, regulations, and construction applications.
  • Experience launching new products or driving adoption of emerging solutions within the construction industry.
  • Experience working with both one-step and two-step distribution models.
  • Experience collaborating across Sales, Marketing, Technical Services, and Product Management teams.
  • Demonstrated success developing co-marketing programs or distribution partnerships.
  • Experience analyzing market trends, customer insights, and competitive dynamics to inform sales strategies.
