Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Dalwadi Hospitality Management, LLC. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

Position Summary
 
Aloft Katy Mills is seeking a motivated, outgoing, and results driven Sales Manager to help grow hotel revenue and strengthen our presence within the Katy and greater Houston market.
 
The Sales Manager will focus on developing new business, maintaining existing accounts, building relationships within the local community, and generating corporate, group, and event business for the hotel.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Prospect and develop new corporate, group, and local business accounts.
Conduct outside sales calls, property tours, networking visits, and community outreach.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local companies, organizations, event planners, and community partners.
Respond promptly to sales leads, inquiries, and requests for proposals.
Prepare proposals, negotiate rates, and follow up consistently to convert leads into booked business.
Maintain and grow existing accounts while identifying additional revenue opportunities.
Conduct hotel site tours for prospective clients and groups.
Assist in generating room revenue, group business, meetings, events, and other hotel revenue opportunities.
Monitor local market activity, competitors, upcoming events, and new businesses entering the area.
Maintain accurate records of sales activity, account information, leads, and follow up.
Participate in hotel sales meetings and provide updates on prospecting activity, upcoming business, and sales goals.
Work closely with the General Manager, Director of Sales, Front Office, and Operations teams to ensure an excellent guest and client experience.
Represent Aloft Katy Mills professionally at networking events, community events, chamber functions, and other business development opportunities.
Support Marriott brand sales initiatives, promotions, and property specific sales strategies.
Meet or exceed established sales and revenue goals.
 
 
Qualifications
 
Previous hotel sales experience preferred.
Marriott experience is strongly preferred.
Experience in hospitality sales, outside sales, business development, or account management preferred.
Strong communication, sales, negotiation, and relationship building skills.
Comfortable making sales calls, visiting local businesses, and developing new accounts.
Self motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Strong follow up skills and attention to detail.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Knowledge of the Katy and Houston business market is a plus.
Experience with Marriott sales systems, CRM platforms, or hotel sales tools is a plus.
Must have reliable transportation for local sales calls and networking activities.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
