Job description

The Entry-Level Purchasing Assistant plays a crucial role in managing procurement activities by processing orders, maintaining vendor relationships primarily with local suppliers, and ensuring accurate purchase order management. This entry-level position involves coordinating with suppliers, assisting in contract negotiations, and utilizing software tools such as Sage and Microsoft Programs to handle a medium volume of purchase orders efficiently. The role also requires understanding CAD drawings to support procurement decisions.


Responsibilities

  • Process purchase orders and maintain accurate records
  • Communicate with local suppliers to coordinate order details
  • Manage purchase order workflow using Sage Software and Microsoft programs
  • Assist in contract negotiations with vendors
  • Enter and update procurement data accurately
  • Read and interpret CAD drawings to inform purchasing decisions


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Business or related field
  • Experience in Purchase Order Management
