Role Overview
The Sage Intacct Implementation Lead Consultant serves as a senior implementation resource responsible for leading Sage Intacct deployments, guiding clients through complex business and accounting process decisions, and ensuring successful implementation outcomes. This role acts as the primary implementation lead on assigned projects, providing strategic guidance, solution expertise, and project leadership throughout the implementation lifecycle.
The Sage Intacct Implementation Lead Consultant is also expected to serve as a mentor and resource to less experienced implementation team members, helping elevate the overall quality and consistency of implementation delivery across the organization.
Compensation | $95,000-$145,000 base salary, plus incentive compensation
Client Leadership & Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary implementation lead for assigned Sage Intacct projects.
  • Build trusted client relationships and guide stakeholders through implementation decisions.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions to understand business, accounting, reporting, and operational requirements.
  • Provide strategic recommendations aligned with Sage Intacct capabilities and industry best practices.
  • Identify and resolve implementation risks, issues, and escalations while maintaining proactive client communication.

Solution Design & Implementation
  • Lead solution design, configuration, testing, data migration, and deployment activities.
  • Translate business requirements into effective Sage Intacct solutions and workflows.
  • Advise clients on financial process improvements, reporting structures, and system optimization.
  • Oversee complex implementations involving multiple entities, dimensions, approvals, and advanced reporting.
  • Ensure all solutions align with client objectives and Sage Intacct best practices.

Project Leadership
  • Own project execution from kickoff through go-live and stabilization.
  • Coordinate activities across clients, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Monitor project timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and scope changes.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, status reporting, and implementation records.
  • Deliver projects with a high standard of quality, professionalism, and client satisfaction.

Training & Client Enablement
  • Design and deliver end-user training, workshops, and adoption activities.
  • Support user acceptance testing and guide clients through operational transition.
  • Promote client confidence and long-term success within Sage Intacct.

Team Collaboration & Leadership
  • Mentor implementation team members and share implementation best practices.
  • Provide guidance on solution design, project execution, and problem-solving.
  • Support onboarding, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative, client-focused, and solutions-oriented team environment.

Administrative & Operational Excellence
  • Maintain timely and accurate timekeeping, project records, and implementation documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement of implementation methodologies and delivery standards.
  • Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Partner with the Ongoing Support team to ensure a seamless client experience.

Minimum Requirements
  • Sage Intacct Implementation Specialist Certification, or ability to obtain certification within 1-3 months of hire.
  • 4+ years of accounting, financial systems, ERP implementation, consulting, or related experience, including successful participation in or leadership of approximately 10-12 ERP or Sage Intacct implementations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading client-facing projects and managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, etc.).
  • Ability to operate effectively in a remote environment.
