We take pride in fostering a safe environment for all employees in our climate-controlled plants.Summary: The Bindery Production Assistant is responsible for helping the Bindery Operator with the setup, adjustment and safe operation of all relevant bindery equipment such as: MBO folders with pile and continuous feeders; Heidelberg/Stahl Folders with continuous feeders; and 6 pocket Muller Martini-Presto saddle stitchers to produce quality finished products that meet customer specifications and quality standards.Schedule: 1st shift, Monday - Friday, eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM, or similar. Training may occur other times.Salary Range: $19 To $21 HourlyCompensation commensurate with experience.At time, we are not engaging with agencies or third-party recruiters. Thank you for understanding.Duties And ResponsibilitiesAccess the batching system to view batch lists and identify priority jobs to be completedReview job tickets and plan work processes to meet customer specifications for custom jobsEnsure machines are ready and set specifications to run products as requiredQuality control of completed jobs, providing updates on job status and schedule to the supervisorMake adjustments as needed to maintain specifications and timely flow of materialsMonitor assigned machine during run to ensure machines are maintaining the proper requirementsUnload machine and stack materials on palletsEnsure jobs are meeting quality and quantity requirementsTroubleshoot machine problems, resolve if possible, notifying Floor SupervisorMaintain proper machine maintenance and lubricationRemove waste items for recyclingReport all injuries, illnesses, and near misses to management immediatelyAdhere to all safety rules and regulations as set forth by 4overComplete and maintain required records and paperwork, as neededPerform regular housekeeping duties in assigned and surrounding areasAttend all department/company meetings, as neededWear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when requiredPerform other assigned dutiesFor an extensive list of responsibilities, duties and physical demands/work environment please refer to the attached Job Description.Experience And QualificationsEducation, Licenses, Certifications, Experiences:High School Diploma or GED equivalency; or six-months to one-year related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferredCritical Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Requirements:Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Strong problem-solving skills when faced with unexpected challenges, such as machine malfunctions, material shortages, or errors in print quality. Ability to adapt to new printing technologies or changes in production schedules, ensuring smooth operations despite changes.Time Management & Efficiency: Ability to manage multiple print jobs simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without sacrificing quality. Organizing workflows, preparing materials in advance, and optimizing print runs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Attention to Detail: Precision in monitoring print jobs to ensure all details, such as color accuracy, image sharpness, and print placement, meet the required standards. Detecting small defects or inconsistencies during production and taking corrective action immediately.Communication Skills: Ability to read and understand corporate policies, job-related documents, and written/verbal instructions in English to ensure effective and compliant job performance.Strong foundational math skills, with the ability to perform basic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Highly detail-oriented, organized, and efficient in managing time, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks accurately.4over Company History:4over was founded in February of 2001.
