Are you passionate about sewing and committed to safety? Do you have a flair for teaching and an eye for detail? If so, we want you to join our customer's team as a Sewing Instructor.

Our customer crafts high-quality safety gear that helps protect workers across various industries. From flame-resistant clothing to protective gloves, your sewing skills will directly contribute to saving lives! As our Sewing Instructor, you'll be at the heart of a fun and dynamic team, teaching both seasoned pros and eager beginners the ins and outs of sewing safety products with precision and pride.

Job Requirements Include:

  • ​Must have 1+ year of sewing instructor experience within the most recent work history.

  • Must be proficient with industrial sewing machines.

  • Must have good communication skills and be comfortable with using a computer.

  • Davis Staffing, Inc. participates in the E-Verify program.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Train new and existing sewing operators to work on specific machines and products, following the Sewing Training Guidelines.

  • Ensure sewing operator trainees utilize equipment safely and employ methods to ensure safe operation while adhering to company quality standards and procedures.

  • Help sewing operator trainees to properly set equipment to specific requirements and educate sewing operators and supervisors on product/design changes.

  • Evaluate candidates for sewing operator positions, conducting sewing tests and making hiring recommendations and regularly and proactively communicate with leadership on training needs, processes, and issues as they arise.

Job Details Include:

  • This is a direct hire position

  • 1st Shift: Monday - Friday

  • Hours: 7:30AM - 4:00PM

  • $22 - $24 an hour

Host Employer Benefits Include:

  • Medical, Dental, Vision eligibility on 1st of the month after 60 days

  • 10 paid holidays

  • 1st year will get 5 PTO days
