We're searching for a specialist to support the daily operations of sophisticated digital messaging (email, push, SMS) programs using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). This role collaborates with internal teams to deliver high-quality service that is on-time and exceeds client expectations. This individual will be highly skilled in campaign management methodologies, from complex email build approaches to advanced segmentation with multiple datasets. This role is expected to be acting as the intersection point bringing these requirements together to deliver highly personalized and impactful campaigns.

The Impact You'll Have:

Front-End Email Development

  • Enhance, expand, and support our systems by using data to execute email communications
  • Responsible for ongoing process documentation, training, troubleshooting, problem solving in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC)
  • Apply your SFMC expertise to help the team to continue to innovate and increase efficiency

Solution Optimization, Performance, Scalability, and Reliability

  • Build and manage customer segments in Salesforce Data 360 based on marketing and business requirements
  • Evaluate existing architectures to identify technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and opportunities for consolidation or modernization
  • Design extensible, futureready solutions that support enterprise growth, high data volumes, and complex business processes.
  • Support continuous optimization through critical thinking and assessment of the platform and team outcomes.

Business Alignment

  • Partner with business leaders, product owners, and delivery teams to translate business needs into optimized technical solutions.
  • Provide architectural guidance and decision frameworks that balance speed, cost, risk, and longterm value.
  • Influence enterprise standards, best practices, and architectural roadmaps.
What you'll do:

Email Development

  • Experience building emails, automations, and journeys in SFMC
  • Build and maintain reusable, responsive, cross-client modular email components and templates using HTML, CSS, AMPscript, JavaScript (JS), and Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS)
  • Peer review and QA using Litmus
  • Have an understanding of client rendering requirements (Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail, etc.) and email-specific best practices
  • Troubleshoot rendering issues across major email clients and devices
  • Ensure accessibility compliance and adherence to modern email standards (e.g., WCAG, semantic structure)
  • Own the end-to-end email development lifecycle: from concept and build to testing, deployment, and performance monitoring
  • Partner with marketing, design, and CRM teams to execute campaigns, journeys, and lifecycle programs
  • Implement dynamic and personalized email content using data feeds, segmentation logic, and scripting languages like AMPscript

Data Management:

  • Build and manage customer segments in Salesforce Data 360 based on marketing and business requirements
  • Parse and transfer segmented data into SFMC for multi-channel campaign execution
  • Develop and maintain Data Extensions in SFMC, applying business rules for Email, In-App, and Direct Mail campaigns
  • Write and optimize SQL queries and SSJS scripts to process, filter, and transform marketing data
  • Design and manage automated workflows using Automation Studio and Journey Builder
  • Validate and audit data across the end-to-end data pipeline, from upstream sources to final campaign delivery
  • Monitor and query data in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Identify and communicate data discrepancies to Data Platform teams and business stakeholders
  • Manage and resolve incident tickets related to data, segmentation, and campaign delivery
  • Collaborate effectively with onshore and offshore teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery
  • Engage and communicate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide data-driven insights
  • Ensure all data handling and marketing activities comply with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) regulations
  • Conduct data audits across various business processes to maintain data integrity and quality

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Programming, Software Engineering, IT Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent Salesforce experience of more than 5 years
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build strong, effective relationships and influence across technology teams
  • Proficiency in Agile delivery methodologies, demonstrating flexibility and efficiency in dynamic environments
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant and Data Cloud certifications preferred
  • Multiple years of advanced front-end experience with HTML, CSS, AMPscript, JS, and SSJS
  • Demonstrated experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud building emails, journeys, and automations
  • Experience with Salesforce Data 360 and CRM
  • Proficiency in SQL and SSJS for data querying and automation
  • Experience with GCP
  • Strong understanding of GDPR and CCPA compliance requirements
  • Experience working with cross-functional and global teams
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to validate and reconcile data across multiple platforms
  • Experience with Figma and Adobe Photoshop is preferred
  • Experience with Litmus is preferred
