Job description

INNOCEAN USA, a full-service advertising agency, is looking for a Sr. Salesforce Marketing Cloud Solutions Architect to be the strategic and technical backbone of our SFMC environment. This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role where your blueprints and decisions shape how millions of customers experience our clients' brands. You'll sit at the intersection of business strategy and platform engineering, translating complex marketing objectives into scalable, high-performance SFMC solutions.

This is a hybrid role, currently 3 days in-office. Local candidates only.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Own the end-to-end SFMC platform architecture: data models, ERDs, integration maps, and the standards that govern how the entire ecosystem scales.
•    Act as the primary technical advisor to cross-functional teams - bridging Marketing, Analytics and Technology translating business needs into platform solutions.
•    Design and govern Journey Builder orchestrations, Automation Studio workflows, and Triggered Send architectures with an emphasis on performance, security, and scalability.
•    Define standards for REST/SOAP integrations, JSON data payloads, and API frameworks connecting SFMC to external systems.
•    Lead the strategic evaluation and deployment of Einstein AI and predictive modeling capabilities within the platform.
•    Partner with Analytics and Media teams to architect unified, high-performance data streams across the enterprise ecosystem.
•    Drive platform health through continuous auditing, documentation standards, and optimization of the SFMC environment against platform guardrails.
•    Mentor and guide developers, setting the technical bar for quality and consistency across all SFMC deliverables.

REQUIREMENTS
•    5+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) architect, solutions architect, in an agency, consulting, or enterprise environment.
•    Deep expertise across core SFMC products: Marketing Cloud Engagement, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, MobileConnect, and Contact Builder.
•    Strong command of AMPscript, SSJS, SQL, REST/SOAP APIs, and data architecture best practices.
•    Proven ability to lead technical strategy and communicate complex solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•    Experience with agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
•    Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (e.g., Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Developer, or Marketing Cloud Architect) are strongly preferred.

PREFERRED
•    Experience in automotive, retail, or consumer brand environments.
•    Familiarity with Einstein AI, Tableau/Datorama/Marketing Cloud Intelligence, or Data Cloud (CDP).
•    Background working in an agency setting managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.

BENEFITS
•    Low-cost health benefits to choose from
•    401k match
•    Wellness reimbursement program
•    Company paid short- and long-term disability, and basic life
•    Generous PTO
•    On-site Barista
•    Beautiful campus across from the Pacific Ocean

Salary range: $150,000 to $161,975
