Position Summary

Crescent Constructors, Inc. is seeking skilled Concrete Finishers to support the construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and related infrastructure. Concrete Finishers are responsible for placing, leveling, smoothing, and finishing concrete surfaces to meet project specifications and quality standards. This role requires knowledge of finishing techniques, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety on heavy civil construction sites.


What You'll Do

  • Smooth and finish freshly poured ready-mixed concrete on water and wastewater surfaces and other concrete structures to specified textures using hand and power tools such as floats, trowels, and screeds
  • Spread concrete to specified depths while maintaining proper consistency
  • Mix sand and cement by hand as required
  • Use floats to bring water to the surface and produce a soft topping for a level and smooth finish
  • Set prefabricated metal forms as well as wooden forms
  • Perform additional duties as instructed by the supervisor


What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 2 years of prior experience in heavy civil, concrete, or infrastructure construction (water and wastewater experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of smoothing and finishing freshly poured ready-mixed concrete
  • Experience using hand and power tools including floats, trowels, and screeds
  • Knowledge of spreading concrete to specified depths while in a workable consistency
  • Experience mixing sand and cement by hand and producing smooth, level finishes
  • Knowledge of setting prefabricated metal and wooden forms
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including prolonged standing, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and climbing
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to take direction from supervisors and remain task-oriented
  • Commitment to following all company and general safety rules, policies, and guidelines
