We are seeking an energetic, service-driven Operations & Events Manager to join our leadership team. This unique role blends resort operations, guest experience, team leadership, event planning, and revenue generation. You'll play a key role in ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction while creating engaging activities, special events, and unforgettable experiences that keep guests coming back year after year.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, building relationships, leading teams, and bringing creative ideas to life.

What You'll Do

Resort Operations & Leadership

  • Serve as a key member of the resort leadership team, supporting all departments and assuming leadership responsibilities in the absence of the General Manager or Assistant General Manager.
  • Partner with Guest Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, Food & Beverage, and Maintenance teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Lead daily and weekly operational meetings focused on guest satisfaction, team performance, service recovery, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure resort standards for cleanliness, safety, hospitality, and appearance are consistently exceeded.
  • Support staff training, coaching, development, and recognition initiatives.
  • Help manage purchasing, inventory, accounts receivable/payable, cash controls, and operational reporting.
  • Drive occupancy, revenue, and guest satisfaction through exceptional service and strategic upselling.

Events, Activities & Guest Experience

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute a dynamic calendar of guest activities, themed weekends, holiday celebrations, entertainment, and special events.
  • Create memorable experiences that build community and enhance the resort lifestyle.
  • Book and manage entertainment vendors including bands, DJs, performers, and specialty attractions.
  • Oversee event logistics from planning through execution, ensuring every detail exceeds guest expectations.

Sales & Community Engagement

  • Generate and coordinate private events including weddings, reunions, corporate retreats, and celebrations.
  • Develop relationships with local businesses, vendors, tourism partners, and community organizations.
  • Drive event sales through networking, outreach, referrals, and lead management.
  • Support marketing efforts through social media, guest communications, and promotional campaigns.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to showcase the unique lifestyle and experiences offered at the resort.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in hospitality, resort operations, events, guest services, or a related field.
  • Passion for creating exceptional guest experiences and building positive team cultures.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience planning events, activities, or guest programming preferred.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and generate event or group business.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and operational software systems.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to participate in local outreach and networking efforts.
