Job description

ASC Engineered Solutions is seeking a Molding Press Operator to assist with our molding operations.  This role is responsible for safely and efficiently operating rubber molding presses to produce quality molded parts according to production schedules and customer specifications. This role includes preparing molds, loading and unloading materials, monitoring press cycles, inspecting finished parts for quality, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Operators are expected to follow all safety, quality, and production procedures while working collaboratively with team members, setup technicians, and maintenance staff to ensure consistent machine performance and minimal downtime. 
  • Perform press operations to include but not limited to load and unload stock & inserts, finish, sort, gauge, cut and/or package.
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to Molding Supervisor.
  • Read and follow routing work instructions.
  • Perform basic data input for job production & labor reporting.
  • Maintain the equipment and surrounding work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

  • Required to be familiar with all presses, proper methods, tools and equipment needed to make a quality part in a safe manner.
  • Ability to understand basic data input methods and procedures.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with others.
