Job description

US-Ohio-Middlefield

To review customer orders and establish an optimal production schedule based on customer requirements, raw material procurement timelines, and production capabilities in a fast-paced production environment. To work as a team to balance workload for optimum efficiency.


  • Review, process, arrange, control, and optimize the production schedule to achieve on-time delivery for all customer orders.
  • Communicate with purchasing personnel regarding any raw material shortages that may impede the ability to fulfill a customer order.
  • Manage cut-ins and escalations.
  • Prepare, inform, and communicate with appropriate personnel about the production schedule.
  • Communicate promptly any changes for a proactive preview of the schedule with production personnel.
  • Communicate any production issues with the Customer Service team.
  • Communicate with Technical personnel when there is a rework or substitution required.
  • Update customers of any delays in delivery date Review daily reports and take appropriate actions.
  • Data entry and use of computer programs for data changes, inventory adjustments and closing out of orders.
  • Perform any other project/task as assigned by Management.

  • Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Two (2) years' experience in scheduling in a manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong computer/systems skills - MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook). Familiarity of Spectrum, SAP and Workstation Basic is helpful.
  • Ability to manage competing demands and deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events through organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment establishing priorities and managing multiple tasks and demands.
  • Attention to detail, high energy, self-motivated and self-reliant.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to interact well with all personality types.
