Job Summary

The Route Manager is responsible for safely operating a company vehicle to deliver products and provide exceptional customer service along an assigned route. This role requires strong time management skills, attention to safety, and the ability to build positive relationships with customers while ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a company vehicle and complete daily assigned delivery routes.
  • Load, transport, and unload products in accordance with company procedures.
  • Deliver products accurately and on schedule while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Verify delivery quantities, collect required documentation, and obtain customer signatures as needed.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety standards.
  • Manage route schedules efficiently and communicate any delays or customer concerns.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and complete required paperwork or electronic logs.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to support customer satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Previous delivery, route driving, transportation, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move products weighing up to 50 pounds or more as required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of local routes and navigation technology is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, bend, and climb in and out of a delivery vehicle throughout the day.
  • Ability to safely handle and transport products in varying weather conditions.
