Job description

Job Title: Wide Format Zund Router Associate (Full Time) | Scottsdale, AZ
Job Summary:

Artisan Colour, a leading commercial printer and fulfillment company based in Scottsdale, Arizona, is hiring a Wide Format Zund Router Associate to support production and finishing operations for a wide range of print projects.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for operating our Zund router, following job specifications, collating printed materials, and performing quality checks to ensure every project meets production standards. You’ll also cross-train on additional finishing equipment and workflows to help support the full scope of Artisan Colour projects. If you’re detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable in a fast-paced production environment, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Zund Router Operation: Cut jobs on the Zund router according to job tickets and production specifications.

  • Job Tracking: Use our MIS system daily as part of the production workflow.

  • Spreadsheet Review: Read and follow job spreadsheets to ensure accurate routing, collation, and completion of work.

  • Print Collation: Organize and collate printed materials according to project requirements.

  • Quality Control: Inspect all jobs for defects, missing components, or incorrect items, and confirm that each order is complete.

  • Production Support: Train on additional finishing workflows, equipment, and procedures to support the completion of Artisan Colour projects.

  • Order Documentation: Maintain required job and order records accurately throughout production.

  • Material Handling: Handle all jobs with care, especially materials that may be heavy, bulky, or fragile.

  • Work Area Maintenance: Keep the workspace clean, organized, and production-ready throughout the day.

  • Waste & Recycling: Dispose of garbage and recycling in the proper indoor and outdoor bins.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Finishing, print shop, or manufacturing experience. Prior knowledge of operating a Zund Router or similar CNC is preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Comfortable reading job tickets, using spreadsheets, and working within an MIS or production tracking system.

  • Attention to Detail: Able to follow specifications closely and maintain quality standards across multiple jobs.

  • Communication: Strong reading, writing, speaking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Time Management: Able to manage workload efficiently and stay organized in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Physical Capability: Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours, lift 50+ pounds, and bend or reach without restriction.

  • Work Ethic: Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work overtime when needed.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; basic math and reading comprehension required.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift

  • Day shift

  • Monday to Friday

  • Overtime as needed

  • Weekend availability may be requested
