Job description

Coffee & Tea Route Account Representative

Do you enjoy being on the road, solving problems on the spot, and turning everyday service into sales growth? As a Route Account Representative providing route relief, youโ€™ll ensure customers are in-stock, equipment is clean and operational, and every beverage station meets our standardโ€”while representing our coffee and tea portfolio with confidence.

Could This Be You?
  • Ready for a Mondayโ€“Friday schedule, 7:00 a.m.โ€“4:00 p.m., with overtime when needed
  • Hold a valid driverโ€™s license, can pass a DOT physical, and maintain a clean driving record
  • Bring a customer-first mindset and a knack for sales on the move
Your Mission

Own the stop. From delivery to display, youโ€™ll manage products, presentation, and performance:

  • Deliver, replenish, and rotate coffee, tea, and related items on your assigned route.
  • Keep stations spotless and equipment functioning; complete at least one CQC (Cup Quality Check) daily.
  • Resolve issues fastโ€”escalate to the ASM (Area Sales Manager) as needed to protect customer satisfaction.
  • Service every account on the daily schedule and maintain accurate route paperwork.
  • Handle invoices, route inventory, and collections each day.
  • Grow Revenue per Stop by filling distribution gaps, executing seasonal/LTO promotions, applying pricing actions, and holding stations to standard.
  • Spot inefficiencies or new opportunities during route relief and notify the ASM.
  • Support inventory cycle counts, warehouse duties, and customer initiatives as assigned.
  • Learn brewing systems and perform basic adjustments/repairs.
  • Use the Farmer Brothers customer call process (The Farmer Brothers Way to Sell); make extra sales calls when time permits.
  • Assist as needed with warehouse operations, accounts receivable collections, and customer service activities.
What Youโ€™ll Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Route delivery experience (a plus)
  • Customer service background (preferred)
  • Foodservice experience (desired)
  • Mechanical aptitude with company hardware/software
  • Ability to assess needs, listen actively, and communicate clearly
  • Proactive, independent, and decisive with strong business judgment
  • Relationship-builder who quickly identifies issues, problems, or opportunities
