Job description

We are seeking a reliable, high-energy Box Truck Driver/Customer Service to manage a dedicated delivery route. This is more than just a driving job; you will be the face of the company, responsible for managing customer accounts, overseeing inventory levels, and performing the physical labor required to get the job done.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Must have excellent customer service experience
  • Safe Transportation: Operate a box truck (typically 16–26 ft) safely and efficiently along a designated daily route, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers. Act as the primary point of contact for account inquiries, orders, and service issues.
  • Inventory Control: Manage "on-truck" inventory and "at-customer" stock levels. Perform regular audits to ensure accuracy and prevent loss or shortages.
  • Route Optimization: Plan and execute the most efficient daily route to ensure on-time deliveries and pickups.
  • Physical Labor: Manually load and unload the vehicle. This includes moving products using hand trucks, dollies, or manual lifting to ensure products are placed exactly where the customer needs them.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven professional experience as a Box Truck Driver is mandatory.
  • Physical Stamina: Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the day.
  • Driving Record: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (MVR).
  • Self-Management: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing a complex schedule.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to manage customer accounts and resolve on-site issues professionally.
  • Must speak English (bilingual is a plus Spanish)

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods.
  • Comfortable with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
