Job description

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking an upbeat, customer-focused, and analytical individual to join the Membership Services team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with customers and responding to incoming inquiries. This person must be well-organized and extremely personable. We are looking for a quick learner who is flexible and can take on a variety of independent projects.
As a Teacher Membership Specialist, you'll be supporting schools and educators by responding to questions, solving problems, and ensuring they have an exceptional experience with us. You are someone who is passionate about and dedicated to providing the highest quality of service to our growing customer base.
This position requires you to be in our Raleigh, NC, area office.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Perform tasks related to sales support such as handling inbound trial and small quote requests, answering inbound sales and product questions, providing pricing information, and logging customer communication in Salesforce
  • Respond to membership questions and assist customers with account purchases, upgrades, renewals, and inquiries
  • Effectively communicate key product features and benefits to customers via email and phone
  • Receive and assist with purchase orders, credit cards payments and checks
  • Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective customers
  • Support IXL classroom and school site license accounts
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1-2 years experience in customer service, sales or educational organization. Any K-12 classroom experience is a plus
  • Comfortable with technology and passionate about bringing technology into the classroom
  • Energetic, positive person who works well independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Prior experience with phone systems and communication via email
  • Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized
  • Exceptional critical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills
