CONTEXT: Our client is seeking a high-impact General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations, performance, and strategic execution of a rapidly growing roofing and gutter company. This individual will oversee operational decision-making across the business while driving accountability, profitability, scalability, and execution across all departments.
The ideal candidate is highly proactive, operationally driven, financially minded, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. This role requires someone who can balance field operations, financial oversight, people leadership, and data-driven decision making while helping scale the company to its next phase of growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead all daily operations across roofing and gutter divisions, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, profitably, and on schedule.
  • Own operational performance and company execution across production, sales support, scheduling, service, and customer experience.
  • Track and analyze P&L performance at both the company and individual job level.
  • Monitor job costing, labor efficiency, margins, change orders, collections, and operational KPIs.
  • Develop reporting dashboards and use data analysis to drive operational improvements and profitability.
  • Establish accountability across teams and ensure consistent operational processes and standards.
  • Partner with ownership on strategic growth initiatives, scaling efforts, forecasting, and operational planning.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable systems, workflows, and process improvements.
  • Lead and develop managers, field leadership, and operational staff.
  • Ensure projects maintain quality standards, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 7+ years of operational leadership experience within roofing, construction, restoration, home services, or related industries.
  • Proven experience leading day-to-day operations for a $10M+ business or division.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing job costing, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L accountability.
  • Ability to analyze operational and financial data to make informed business decisions.
  • Experience scaling operations, improving processes, and building accountability across teams.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to drive performance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and operational challenges simultaneously.
