Position Description: Customer Relationship Manager (Grain & Logistics) - U.S. RemoteRoger, LLC is an exciting technology start-up in the bulk freight industry looking for a new addition to the commercial team. This person will collaborate with a team that is passionate about revolutionizing bulk truck freight commerce through industry solutions. This position is 100% remote based. Summary
This role is responsible for growing our Roger customer base of Grain & Bulk Freight Logistics companies by listening, understanding, and then helping solve areas of inefficiency for anyone in the bulk shipping supply chain. Key focuses will be finding and signing new customers for one or more of Roger’s digital solutions. Core Responsibilities:
- Build and execute on a strategic plan that identifies, pursues, and signs-on new shippers and carriers to the Roger ecosystem that meet Roger’s goals
- Understand the customer’s inefficiencies and deliver the Roger solutions that remove those inefficiencies and create value for the customer
- Coordinate presentations and include the Roger team as needed to deliver a world-class sales experience for the customer
- Build strong, long-term relationships with counterparties
- Identify and prioritize lead opportunities with Commercial Leadership
- Suggest improvements to systems to facilitate the sales process (e.g. – lead tracking & execution)
- Understand regional freight supply & demand along with seasonality to formulate thoughtful, strategic, & timely programs
- Coordinate with customer success to schedule and deliver onboarding, training, etc
- Nurture relationships with existing customers to drive pervasive usage of Roger in their system, as well as get feedback on new functions or features
- Maintain meeting notes and contact information in CRM
- Utilize good economic decision making
- Provide learnings on current or potential future products to the rest of the Roger team
- Attend conferences and trade shows to promote Roger and find new customers
- Keep up to speed and share with the Roger team: market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape
Skills:
- High level of initiative, positive attitude, passion for succeeding, and independent judgment
- Able to operate with minimal supervision- self-starter and problem solver
- Ability to build relationships through multiple customer acquisition methods
- Ability to do in-person and online presentations and clearly articulate the Roger ecosystem, functionality, and benefits to potential customers
- Excellent communicator: both written and oral
Ideal Candidate will have:
- 3+ years selling products or services to the grain/feed industry
- Ideally has experience in digital technologies/solutions (SaaS)
- Willing to travel an estimated 50+% of the time. The position is remote/home-based but prefer a home base located in the Midwest
- Existing Ag industry network enabling the ideal candidate to hit the ground running
Requirements:

Compensation:
- Salary plus end-of-year incentive-based compensation
