Who are we hiring?
The Senior Director, Business Solutions will act as a strong analytical support to the VP Strategy & Business Operation and leverage their extensive entertainment industry knowledge to lead the creation of partnership inventory and platforms through ideation focused on MSG Entertainment's properties.
The Senior Director, Business Solutions will work closely with the VP, Business Solutions to define the strategic sales plan around each of the MSG Entertainment (MSGE) properties and venues, including Radio City Music Hall, Radio City Christmas Spectacular and the Radio City Rockettes, concerts and family shows at Madison Square Garden, The Theater at MSG, the Chicago Theatre and the Beacon Theatre. S/he will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (including the P&L owners of MSGE's Live and Productions businesses) to lead the creation of partnership platforms for prospective partners (new business) and current partners (upsells and renewals) through ongoing communication, research (identify industry leaders, best practices, emerging technologies), platform development (idea generation, marketing collaboration and proposal construction), rate card creation (pricing/P&L development), revenue maximization across assets, internal vetting (Division approvals), creative presentations (write sales deck outlines, collaborate with design team to bring vision to life) and inventory management. Efforts will be focused on the Entertainment and venues portion of our partnership business while cultivating strategies designed to maximize revenue streams for individual properties and the organization globally.
What will you do?
  • Maintain direct relationship with all MSG stakeholders and P&L owners
  • Build, Price, and win every new deal, renewal, and upsell across Knicks, Rangers, Marquee Events, and Hospitality.
  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of all MSG properties and assets/rights; becoming everyone's "go-to" as the in-house "expert" on MSG Entertainment properties
  • Be the primary point of contact for pricing and approval processes that have direct revenue implications
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders and industry relationships to be top of mind during strategy planning
  • Lead partnership development process from brainstorm through account management transition, working closely with sales and service teams and internal/external stakeholders
  • Oversee creation of all sales materials ranging from upfronts and evergreens to full decks and compressed 1-pagers
  • Manage available inventory, track sold inventory, deadlines, property assets, designations and promotional rights granted by MSG
  • Proactively identify new assets and build creative turnkey platforms to generate new revenue opportunities
  • Revenue maximization through creation of asset rate card, pricing and P&L development
  • Collaborate with account management to develop case studies across properties and industries
  • Lead weekly meetings with internal stakeholders, providing robust agendas, carrying conversation and discussion items and following up with next steps/deadlines
  • Participate in sales presentations, as needed.
  • Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.

What do you need to succeed?
  • BA/BS Degree required; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years' experience in strategic marketing/partnership sales strategy, brand consulting to agency roles; a strong candidate for the role should have knowledge of the marketing and advertising industries with a particular focus on the music, theater, productions and overall entertainment industry
  • Passion for the music and entertainment space, maintaining knowledge of trends
  • Demonstrated exceptional project management skills to drive the process with the ability to create partnerships (vet and price, develop P&L and execute platforms); create sales material outlines, and develop strategy
  • This position requires an experienced thinker with strong writing, organizational, analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to simultaneously understand Divisional and Client objectives
  • S/he must have demonstrated experience and success working with a broad cross section of functional teams. The individual must be able to deal professionally with all levels of people including internal senior management, sales professionals, and marketing executives across the organization.

Pay Range
$150,000-$225,000 USD
