We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven "road warrior" to take on an Outside Sales role and drive significant growth for NWA's automation solutions, with a strong emphasis on robotic and valve automation. As a natural "hunter," you will be responsible for aggressively expanding our customer base by prospecting and developing new business opportunities. This role requires significant travel throughout Oregon to build strong relationships with OEMs and End Users and deliver custom automation solutions that meet their specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect for new clients through cold calling, networking, and lead follow-up.
  • Consult with clients to identify their automation challenges, analyze their needs, and propose effective solutions with a focus on NWA’s automation products.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations showcasing NWA’s automation products and services.
  • Track sales and financial data, generating regular reports for management.
  • Negotiate and close deals, addressing customer concerns and objections with confidence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, sales) to achieve optimal results for all NWA customers.

Qualifications:

  • Proven success in a technical sales role, preferably within the industrial automation industry.
  • A pre-existing book of business and established relationships within the Oregon industrial automation market is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation principles and applications.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise language for customers.
  • A self-motivated, results-driven approach with a passion for winning new business.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); Salesforce experience is a plus.
