Director, Surgical Robotics Services

The Director, Surgical Robotics Services, is responsible for overseeing the robotic surgery program across a 4-hospital system. This role provides strategic, operational, financial, and clinical leadership, ensuring high standards of care, and guiding the professional development of team members. The Director, Surgical Robotics Services collaborates closely with operating units, physicians, clinical teams, and administrative staff to promote the safe, efficient, and evidence-based delivery of care. They are accountable for aligning departmental goals with organizational priorities, facilitating interdisciplinary coordination, and driving continuous improvement across all aspects of the organization. Relocation assistance to the greater Atlanta, GA area may be provided.

Strategic Planning and Development
  • Creating and implementing a long-term vision and strategy for robotic surgery within the organization
  • Chair committees, provide reports and recommendations to hospital committees and MECs. Develop and update training and credentialing guidelines
Program Management
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the robotic surgery program, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality assurance
  • Develop policies, procedures, and quality review processes
  • Collaborate with departments throughout the hospital
Staff Training and Education
  • Ensuring that surgeons, nurses, and other staff are properly trained in the use of robotic surgical systems and associated technologies
  • Establish and retain a core robotic team, including ongoing training initiatives
  • Establish the capability for independent training of visiting operating room teams and teaching opportunities

    Minimum Required Qualifications:

    • Education: Nursing preferred (BSN or MSN) or master's degree in healthcare administration (MHA) or business administration (MBA)
    • Experience: 7+ years of robotics experience with 3+ years in management
    • Knowledge, skills, and abilities (required): Involves both technical understanding and strong leadership qualities, allowing them to navigate complex challenges, drive innovation, and manage resources effectively
