Job description

Role Description

We are looking to recruit an exceptional Robot Field Operator to support the deployment and operation of our robotic solutions in the field.

In this role you will be a critical part of our field deployment team, ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of our robotic solutions in customer facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • System Operation: Oversee and operate mobile robotic systems within the production environment to meet operational goals.
  • Workflow Observation: Observe and provide feedback on the task workflow to the software development team to continuously improve operational efficiency.
  • Performance Management: Proactively monitor and manage robot task performance to maintain required production targets.
  • Intervention & Correction: Manually intervene to correct tasks that the robot has mishandled.
  • Field Maintenance: Execute routine and preventative maintenance on robotic hardware and electromechanical systems to ensure peak performance.
  • Software Triage & Reporting: Conduct first-level software triage, diagnose operational issues, and clearly report findings to the engineering development team for resolution.

You will be working closely with robot software developers and hardware designers to improve the design and functionality of the robots.

Qualifications

Must-have:

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
    • OR an Associate's degree in a related engineering field plus a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience testing or operating robotic or electromechanical systems.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Demonstrated hands-on experience working with complex robotic or electromechanical systems.
    • Proficiency with C++/Python programming languages and familiarity with ROS2 and Linux-based development and debugging environments.
