Road Maintenance Technician

You must have cement and/or asphalt maintenance experience!

Summary of Position

  • We are looking for a hardworking, eager Road Maintenance Technician to join our team. Primary responsibilities include concrete, blacktop, and sealcoating experience. We are currently seeking dedicated individuals with a wide variety of skill sets. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines and take pride in the standards and services they deliver to our residents.

INTERNAL REPORTING RELATIONSHIP(S)

  • Property Manager

POSITION ACTIVITIES AND TASKS

  • Experience with equipment operations
  • Willingness to travel from time to time
  • Experience in hauling equipment
  • Maintaining equipment
  • Experience with power tools and hand tools
  • Perform cement and asphalt road maintenance.
  • Perform sidewalk and curb repairs.
  • Assist in hot patching and overlaying roads.
  • Operate vehicles and equipment to haul materials and account for materials used in accordance with regulations and procedures.
  • Perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time and during inclement & non-inclement weather conditions.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, and reaching.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to lead and work as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills
  • Puts high value on doing a good job and self-supervisory skills.
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Working knowledge of tools and devices
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills

EDUCATION LEVEL REQUIRED

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Road maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
