Job description

We are seeking a Road Construction Superintendent to join their team in Connecticut. This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing active crews and ensuring road construction and maintenance projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

What You'll Do as the Road Construction Superintendent:

  • Lead and coordinate road construction crews, subcontractors, and field staff across multiple job sites
  • Enforce safety protocols and job site compliance with OSHA standards and local regulations
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, materials, and equipment usage to keep jobs on track and within scope
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and adherence to engineering plans and specs
  • Communicate with engineers, local officials, and stakeholders to address issues and relay project progress
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and incident documentation

Must-Haves as the Road Construction Superintendent:

  • 5+ years of experience in road construction or maintenance, including supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, safety standards (OSHA 10 required), and heavy equipment use
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • A valid driver's license

Nice-to-Haves as the Road Construction Superintendent:
