Join us in transforming road infrastructure!

At NIRA, we develop software solutions that help road authorities and infrastructure organizations make smarter, data-driven decisions. Our connected products enable customers worldwide to monitor, analyze, and maintain road infrastructure more efficiently and sustainably.

We're looking for a Solution Architect to join our growing U.S. team in Detroit. This is more than a traditional customer-facing role: you'll combine customer engagement with technical product analysis and domain expertise, turning customer insights into innovative solutions that shape the next generation of digital road infrastructure.

Your role and team

As a Solution Architect, you are the primary technical point of contact for our customers, responsible for their long-term success with our connected product portfolio. You'll understand their challenges, design solutions that maximize the value of our platform, and bridge customer needs and product development.

You’ll join a team of Customer Success Managers and Solution Architects, working closely with developers, product managers, and sales & business development teams. The role includes occasional travel to customer sites and industry events across North America, with some international travel.

Your key responsibilities
  • Support customers through onboarding, use-case analysis, solution design, training, and ongoing guidance on our products, dashboards, and analytics tools.
  • Translate customer requirements into technical solution architectures and manage related commercial administration.
  • Keep customers informed about the product roadmap, new features, and best practices.
  • Streamline deliveries and reduce manual work to continuously improve customer processes.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and Data Scientists in an agile environment.
What we are looking for

You're a curious, proactive professional who enjoys combining technology, customer interaction, and problem-solving. Building strong relationships comes naturally to you, and you thrive on understanding both technical and business needs. You're a true team player motivated by real impact, helping customers succeed while building smarter, more sustainable infrastructure.

Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience in road infrastructure, road asset management, pavement management, or transportation systems.
  • Experience with data analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with Python and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of road engineering principles and infrastructure maintenance processes.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted software development or coding tools.
  • Existing relationships with U.S. state DOTs, municipalities, or automotive OEMs a plus.
Why NIRA?

You’ll work alongside highly skilled, dedicated colleagues in a welcoming, inclusive environment, with technology that makes infrastructure safer, smarter, and more sustainable. You’ll collaborate with industry-leading experts, influence innovative products, and grow your expertise, with future opportunities in Product Management, Product Ownership, or Software Development.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.
