Mancan is working with a company in Mt Vernon seeking a Machine Operator. This is a temp to hire opportunity.
Join a fast-paced and dynamic work environment in the Boot Department, where you'll be responsible for creating register stack heads. This position involves repetitive tasks and requires operating 5-6 different machines, including a riveter, Norlock, press brakes, and a co-latch. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and thrives in a hands-on, production-driven role.
Requirements:
- Prior experience with air compressed hand tools and press machines.
- Ability to read blueprints and use micrometers, calipers, and measuring tapes.
- Must have at least 3 years of fabrication or building trades experience.
Schedule: 3rd shift - Mon - Thurs 6:30pm-5am once trained. Training schedule: Mon-Thu 5:00am - 3:30 pm on 1st shift
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Machine Operator to join our Boot Department 12-inch Boot Cell. This position involves operating 56 semi-automatic and automatic machines to fabricate HVAC boot components. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of fabrication experience, demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude, and is physically capable of hand bending and shaping metal parts.
Job Duties:
- Operate manufacturing machinery effectively and safely.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50lbs as required.
- Ability to bend, twist, pull, and grasp.
- Willingness to arrive on time and work hard.
- Adherence to safety guidelines and instructions.
- Perform all other assigned duties.
