JOB SUMMARY

River’s End Restaurant is an iconic, year-round dining destination for locals and visitors near Bryson City, located along the Nantahala River. We are seeking a reliable Line Cook to support our fast-paced kitchen by preparing quality menu items, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to a clean, organized work environment. This role is ideal for team-oriented individuals who enjoy working in a high-energy restaurant setting.


Responsibilities
  • Prepare menu items and daily specials efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Ensure food preparation meets quality standards and guest dietary requests

  • Stock, maintain, and organize the line and backup supplies

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen

  • Uphold food quality, consistency, and safe food handling practices

  • Support teammates and assist other Food & Beverage staff as needed

  • Assist with dishwashing and other support tasks when necessary


Qualifications
  • Knowledge of safe food handling and health code standards

  • Ability to maintain restaurant cleanliness and organization

  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to take direction and work independently

  • Understanding of kitchen workflow and restaurant operations

  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds


Preferred Experience
  • Previous kitchen or restaurant experience preferred, but not required
