Harrison Meadows Country Club in Harrison, NY, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Banquet Houseman Supervisor! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. Compensation: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Position Summary:
The Banquet Houseman Supervisor is responsible for leading the banquet houseman team while ensuring all banquet rooms, meeting spaces, outdoor venues, and event areas are properly set, maintained, and broken down according to club standards. This position plays a critical role in the successful execution of weddings, golf outings, member events, corporate functions, and private celebrations by ensuring event spaces are clean, organized, safe, and prepared on time.
The Banquet Houseman Supervisor leads by example, maintains Troon service standards, and works closely with Banquet Captains, Event Sales, Culinary, Facilities, and the Food & Beverage leadership team.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Event Set-Up-
    • Supervise all banquet room setups according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
    • Ensure tables, chairs, linens, staging, dance floors, buffets, bars, audio/visual equipment, and décor are properly placed.
    • Verify room layouts meet event specifications prior to guest arrival.
    • Complete room inspections before releasing the room to Banquet Operations.
  • Event Support-
    • Monitor event spaces throughout service.
    • Respond quickly to room resets or guest requests.
    • Maintain cleanliness of hallways, storage rooms, service stations, and banquet areas.
    • Coordinate furniture moves and room changes efficiently.
  • Breakdown & Reset-
    • Supervise complete breakdown of all events.
    • Ensure equipment is cleaned, stored properly, and inventoried.
    • Reset rooms for upcoming functions according to the event schedule.
    • Ensure banquet storage areas remain organized and free of hazards. 
Team Leadership:
  • Schedule daily assignments for Houseman staff.
  • Train new Housemen on club standards and safety procedures.
  • Coach employees on proper lifting techniques and equipment handling.
  • Promote teamwork and positive communication.
  • Monitor productivity and hold team members accountable for performance.
Equipment Management:
  • Maintain banquet equipment including-
    • Tables
    • Chairs
    • Linen carts
    • Rolling racks
    • Staging
    • Dance floors
    • Portable bars
    • Buffet equipment
    • Podiums
    • AV equipment
  • Report damaged or missing equipment immediately.
  • Coordinate repairs with Facilities when necessary.
Safety & Cleanliness:
  • Ensure OSHA and club safety standards are followed.
  • Maintain clean storage rooms and loading areas.
  • Enforce safe lifting procedures and proper use of carts and equipment.
  • Keep emergency exits and walkways unobstructed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized back-of-house operation.
Communication:
  • Attend daily banquet and department meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with Banquet Managers, Captains, Culinary, Facilities, and Event Sales.
  • Review daily event schedules and anticipate operational needs.
  • Report maintenance issues promptly.
