As a Risk Specialist, you will be handling daily operational tasks for the Sales Underwriting department. You will responsible for reviewing all potential new clients for OTR. You will review risk and evaluate financial integrity associated with potential clients. You will also coordinate with the sales department to ensure a successful and compliant onboarding process.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet daily quotas for reviewing new trucking company or other prospective client applications
  • Perform risk analysis using standard Underwriting guidelines and policies in place
  • Maintain and update all preliminary client data and files using a proprietary system
  • Communicate with outside vendors like banks, equipment finance companies and other factoring companies
  • Assist in the transition of new clients from Leads to Clients within our system
  • Collaborate with Underwriting, Finance, Operations, and other departments to ensure we are bringing on value clients 
  • Prepare a UCC filing for each client in order to secure and validate OTR's contract
  • Support the team with any active buyouts with a competitor by verifying pay status on all open receivables
