Position Overview
Rider University invites applications for a Senior Associate Director of Admission Campus Visit Experiences. The Senior Associate Director provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all prospective student and family visit experiences within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. This position is responsible for the design, execution, and continuous improvement of campus visit programs that serve as critical recruitment and enrollment tools. The Senior Associate Director oversees daily visit operations, manages student and professional staff, develops signature on-campus events, and ensures that every visitor interaction reflects the university's mission, values, and commitment to exceptional hospitality. This role collaborates closely with academic departments, student affairs, enrollment management, and campus partners to create engaging and impactful experiences for prospective students and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for all undergraduate admission visit programs, including daily information sessions, campus tours, classroom visit opportunities, group visits, and specialty visit programs.
  • Evaluate and enhance visitor experiences using data, surveys, and enrollment outcomes.
  • Ensure all visit experiences align with institutional enrollment goals and brand standards.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices in campus visit programming and student recruitment.
  • Direct all aspects of the tour guide program, lead tour guide program, front desk ambassadors, and coordinators for the Bronc for a Day program.
  • Recruit, hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and develop a diverse team of student workers for the various roles in the office.
  • Design and facilitate ongoing training focused on customer service, storytelling, university knowledge, and public speaking.
  • Oversee the university's classroom visit program, coordinating with faculty, academic departments, and campus partners.
  • Supervise front desk ambassadors for welcoming guests and supporting admissions operations.
  • Establish service standards and protocols that promote a professional, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
  • Lead the planning and execution of major on-campus recruitment events, including open houses, admitted student programs, counselor events, and specialty visit experiences.
  • Utilize CRM and visit management systems to monitor participation, visitor engagement, and program effectiveness.
  • Analyze visit-related metrics, survey results, and enrollment outcomes to inform decision-making and resource allocation.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Five or more years of experience in admissions, enrollment management, student affairs, event management, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Experience managing large-scale recruitment or campus events.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising professional and/or student staff.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and event planning skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to inclusive excellence and exceptional customer service.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing and vehicle required or have reliable transportation to carry out travel requirements of the position.
  • Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, business administration, communications, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Slate and campus visit management platforms.
  • Bilingual
