Location: Remote - Tallahassee, FL (EST or CST preferred)
Employment Type: Contingent Worker (Contract, W2)
Contract Length: 36 months (possible extension)
Compensation: $55/$63 per hour (based on experience)
Summary of the Role
Join a large biotech pharmaceutical leader as a Capital Project Sourcing Manager, enabling project delivery for US-based capital projects. In this role, you will engage with cross-functional teams to drive sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and support procurement for construction and equipment spend categories. The position offers opportunities to influence key supplier relationships and work with advanced sourcing technologies in a matrixed, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Implement project-specific sourcing strategies across US and Puerto Rico capital projects
  • Lead and manage electronic RFP/RFQ processes (eRFX) using Ariba and Scout
  • Negotiate and lead Master Services Agreement (MSA) contracts in Ariba CW
  • Manage supplier selection, bidding, and evaluation processes for capital construction and equipment categories
  • Support a broad range of spend sub-categories, including engineering, construction, automation, quality, validation, and trade services
  • Drive compliance with global sourcing policies and support ongoing contract management
  • Deliver value by anticipating customer needs, executing improvement programs, and validating savings
  • Act as liaison between project teams and suppliers, resolving disputes and supporting contract interpretation
  • Provide basic contract training to project teams and maintain ongoing contract and change order management
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in Legal, Finance, Insurance, and Tax to ensure timely contract reviews and execution

Required Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 10 years of strategic sourcing, capital procurement, operations/manufacturing, or project management experience
  • Hands-on experience managing multiple capital projects in a large corporate or matrixed environment
  • Solid understanding of sourcing processes (tendering, supplier negotiations, and contracting) for capital construction categories
  • Proficiency in e-sourcing tools (Ariba, Scout) and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Problem-solving ability and quick adaptation to new processes and tools
  • Capable of independently planning, prioritizing, and executing complex project deliverables
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%
  • Fluent business English, both written and oral
